Shock
Thunder is caused by lightning. This connection was observed but not understood in ancient times.

The ancient Greek word "βροντή""thunder" and is from "βρέμω""roar, clash, shout" and is onomatopoeic in that it sounds like what it represents. The modern Greek word "βροντή" (vron-TEE) ≈ "thunder".

The ancient Greek word "Βοανεργές""Boanerges" is usually translated as "sons of thunder" and appears to come from Aramaic words which are, literally, "sons of rage", transliterated as "beney" and "regaz".

*H7266 רְגַז (reg-az') : (Aramaic) from H7265; violent anger:--rage.
As an additional meaning, in Greek, the sound of the words is that of "cry of energy" or "cry of work". A "movable nu" would then join the words.
